Villa Organic

History

Early in the 1990s, 2 teenage boys started fishing cleanerfish for local salmon farmers just for fun. This was a completely new way of solving the problem of salmon lice, and the only environmentally friendly alternative. The boys quickly saw the potential for a sustainable business idea and in 1995 they founded Villa Leppefisk ANS.

Vision and Values

From the start Villa has wanted to participate in developing fish farmed into a more sustainable and pure production of salmon, cod and trout. As the basis for this we have a vision and separate set of values which are our tools to reach the goals we have set.

Organization

Villa Organic AS is in continuous change concerning structure and employees. We are a dynamic organisation with several subsidiaries and ownership shares in research companies such as Patogen Analyse and Nord Vest Fiskehelse. Where are we?

We now have the largest part of our farming of salmon, cod and trout located in East Finnmark which Villa Arctic AS manages. We also have 3 research licences in Møre and Romsdal which are located in Villa Miljølaks’ area of management. Here you can see our geographical location with the aid of Google Maps.
