Research

Research in Villa Organic takes place mainly through the company Villa Miljølaks, managed by Per Gunnar Kvenseth. He has long experience in the industry and is our driving force for many of the R&D projects we have had for the past few years.

Here follows a short summary of our projects for the past 8 years:

  • In 2000 Villa was awarded an R&D licence for experiments with salmon, cleanerfish and salmon lice.
  • In 2001 Villa received funds from the FUNN schemes and started a co-operation with the Institute of Marine Research in Bergen and Norsk Sjømatsenter. This was fundamental and the beginning of the present situation and position.
  • 2002-2008: Followed up with SkatteFUNN (9 pcs.), company development grant, MVP, NFR, etc.
  • Through the projects Villa has an extensive co-operation with leading research institutions and suppliers.
  • The Institute of Marine Research, NOFIMA, Møreforskning, Ålesund University College, Intervet Norbio, DEBIO and IDEMA.
  • Villa has on-going research and development projects to develop new solutions for the challenges we have in fish farming at present.
